HOFNER HCT 500/2 Contemporary Series Club Bass

This is the Höfner Contemporary Series 500/2 Club Bass, serial J1114 0030, dating to late 2014. The Club Bass has the short-scale feel and warm, rounded tone Höfner are known for, but with a more compact singlecut body shape that balances better on a strap compared to the violin bass. It features the staple-style pickups, traditional control panel and a comfortable neck profile. This example has had the pickguard removed but aside from that is all original. It remains in excellent overall condition with a few marks here and there. A lovely sounding bass with plenty of character.
