I have now bought two CS Fenders from CHG. The experience was as good as it gets. Great communications, immaculately presented guitars and very well packaged shipping.
About Coffee House Guitars
A small shop.
A serious point of view.
Coffee House Guitars was an appointment-only boutique for exceptional pre-owned American and Japanese guitars—with unhurried advice, professional setups and properly made coffee.

Julian launched Coffee House Guitars in 2019 as a part-time passion project alongside his main business, The Regency Chess Company. Both shared the same warehouse in Frome, Somerset.
The stock was deliberately tight: used, high-end instruments selected one at a time, with a particular knowledge of Fender alongside Gibson, PRS, Rickenbacker, Music Man and independent makers.
Every guitar was authenticity-checked, cleaned and sent to a trusted luthier for a professional setup before sale. Visitors could take their time with proper Fender amps and honest advice.
For buyers farther afield, guitars were sent through trusted couriers, fully insured and tracked. For showroom visitors, there was also a private coffee bar and an Italian espresso machine.
Why the shop ended
The doors closed.
The archive stayed open.
The surviving final notice says the premium guitar market had slowed. Coffee House Guitars was a solvent side business, and Julian chose to close it while it was still on good terms with customers.
Trading ended in February 2026. The physical showroom closed, but its reference work, original articles and product records were kept together here instead of disappearing with the shop.

In their own words
Five stars.
No hard sell.
Five reviews preserved from the original Coffee House Guitars storefront, reproduced here exactly as they appeared.
All questions asked were answered promptly and politely. Julian, it was a pleasure meeting you and buying the Les Paul. I would certainly recommend Coffee House Guitars.
I have bought two guitars from Coffee House Guitars, and the service is excellent. It is great to try them out in a relaxed environment, and every guitar is impeccably set up.
All guitars are in excellent condition and presented at their best, having had a full professional service and setup before they go on the wall. Prices are fair too.
Had the pleasure of dealing with Julian and struck up a very good deal. Highly recommend making contact for your preferred guitar — so many classics to choose from.
